Robert R. Jacobs, OD
Dr. Jacobs comes from an optometric family. His father was an optometrist and his grandparents were opticians. Having experienced vision therapy as a child to help with learning and coordination issues, Dr. Jacobs went to optometry school with the goal of one day developing a Vision Therapy practice. He believes in a personal and hands-on approach to practicing developmental optometry. All testing is performed directly by him and he feels that his Vision Therapy program requires his presence in the treatment room to be most effective.
After graduating with honors from Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Jacobs spent several years overseeing the Vision Therapy program for another developmental optometrist. He also attended seminars around the country to learn more about developmental optometry. In addition to optometry, Dr. Jacobs is a sports enthusiast (especially golf). He has been a consultant to Titleist Performance Institute (for professional golfers) and has evaluated players at the NFL Football Combine as a consultant for several NFL teams. He also presents seminars to many of the hospital rehabilitation programs in the DC and Virginia metro area.

Pat Jacobs- Patient Care Coordinator
Dr. Jacobs' wife Pat handles the scheduling of appointments for vision exams and manages the vision therapy schedule.
Natalie Jacobs- Business Manager
Dr. Jacobs' daughter Natalie handles patient and insurance billing as well as office administration issues. She is also involved in ordering glasses and contact lenses and management of the frames inventory.
